General Appearance:

Small, lively and
aristocratic, the Japanese Chin is a square-proportioned
small dog. |

Head: |
Slightly undershot,
large, broad head with short, broad muzzle, large, round,
wide-set eyes, deep stop. |

Tail: |
Carried arched over the
back and flowing to either side of the body. |

Color: |
Black and white, red and
white, or black and tan and white. |
|
|
|
|
Coat: |
Long, soft, profuse coat
is silky and absolutely free from curl or wave. |

Size:
|
Height is usually from 9
– 10 inches and an ideal weight is 4 – 7 pounds. |

|
Temperament: |
It is sensitive and
willing to please, tending to shadow its owner.
