Square-proportioned, compact and of a cobby build, the pug
is a large dog in a little space. |

Head: |
Slightly undershot; short, square muzzle; large, prominent
eyes; massive, round head; thin, small ears, either rose or
button. |

Color: |
Silver, apricot-fawn, or black, with black muzzle or mask,
ears, cheek moles, and trace down back. |

Gait: |
The
gait is strong and jaunty, but with a slight roll of the
hindquarters. |

Size: |
Weight is 14 – 18 pounds; height is 10 – 11 pounds. |

Temperament: |
A
delightful blend of dignity and comedy, the Pug is an
amiable, playful, confident companion. It can be stubborn
and headstrong, but it is pleasant and generally willing to
