Breed Standards for the Bearded Collie
General Appearance and Coat- Its coat is double with a soft,
furry undercoat. The Outer coat is flat, harsh, and fairly straight;
it is sufficient to protect the dog
Head and Neck- Beard, large, wide-set eyes with soft
expression, framed by long eyebrows, broad flat skull.
Hind Quarters- Level top line, low-set tail carried low,
with slight upward curve at end.
Special Characteristics- Any shade of gray or chocolate,
white may appear as a blaze, or on tail tip, feet and chest, tan
points may also occur.
Temperament- Lively and playful, full of enthusiasm and
energy
