Breed Standards for the Boxer

General Appearance:

It is square-proportioned with good substance and musculature

Head:

Broad, blunt muzzle; Undershot bite; Shallow wrinkles on forehead when alert; Slightly arched skull; Ears cropped long and tapering

Tail:

Set high, docked and carried upward

Color:

Fawn and brindle, both with or without white flashing and black mask

Size:

Weight: male: 65-80 lb; female: 50 – 65 lb
Height: male: 22.5 – 25”; female: 21 – 23.5”

Gait:

Free and ground covering, with proud carriage

Temperament:

Playful, exuberant, inquisitive, attentive, demonstrative, devoted and outgoing
