Breed Standards for the Cane Corso
General Appearance:
The Cane Corso is a muscular dog with a large body.
Head:
Its head is broad and the skull is wide, with a square muzzle. The ears can be triangular or cropped.
Coat:
Thick, dense and harsh
Color:
Black, lighter and darker shades of gray, lighter and darker shades of fawn, and red. Brindle is allowed.
Size:
Height: 22 – 28”
Weight: 80 – 140 lbs
Temperament:
A highly trainable breed often used as a guard dog. It can be aggressive with strangers.
