Breed Standards for the Greenland Dog
General Appearance:
The Greenland Dog, though slightly taller than the Eskimo Dog, is not so heavy.
Tail:
Bushy, curled over the back, is used to protect the face while sleeping so that all that can be seen are the small, triangular, pricked ears.
Coat:
Moderately long, straight, thick, and stand-off, with a heavy undercoat.
Size:
Height is 22 – 25 inches and weight is 66 – 70 pounds.
Color:
All colors except albino.
Temperament:
Aloof and independent the breed can be affectionate with those it knows well and is devoted to its owners.
